"If I Could Speak"

Our goal...

What- We will be traveling to various churches and summer camps displaying the artwork that Rachel Moore recently drew for her senior art show. These pieces are the representation of the various kinds of people who are victimized and trapped in human trafficking.  Each picture either includes a poem or a short caption which highlights a different aspect of human trafficking.  This exhibit will resemble a museum gallery setting.

When
- June 2, 2010 through July 28, 2010

Where-
Various parts of Ohio

Why
- Our first goal is to raise more awareness about this issue.  Ohio is one of the biggest places in the United States where victims are bought and sold as sex slaves.  In Ohio alone, over 70,000 boys and girls are involved in this form of trafficking throughout Cleveland and Toledo each year.  Our second goal is to raise $3,000 to give to Gracehaven.  Gracehaven’s goal this year is to raise more money so that they can house ten more girls by the end of 2012. The cost to house these girls is extremely high, which is essentially why we are doing this tour.  To know more information about Gracehaven you can visit their website at:  www.gracehavenhouse.org.
